About Osteria Camelot

Let me introduce you to Osteria Camelot, a cozy Ligurian restaurant tucked into the heart of Sanremo at Via Morardo, 18038 Sanremo IM, Italy, where local flavor and everyday comfort meet without any fuss. From the moment you approach the entrance, the place feels lived-in and welcoming, the kind of spot locals return to because it simply works, whether you’re dropping by for a relaxed lunch or easing into a long evening meal. The menu leans confidently into Ligurian tradition, focusing on honest ingredients and balanced flavors, so you’ll notice dishes that feel wholesome, familiar, and thoughtfully prepared rather than overworked. I like how Osteria Camelot keeps things flexible too, offering easygoing dine-in service alongside outdoor seating, which is perfect when the Sanremo weather cooperates, while delivery makes it approachable even on slower nights. Drinks are handled with the same casual confidence, with a solid selection of wine and beer, plus spirits and coffee that fit naturally into the rhythm of the meal. If you’re someone who appreciates healthy options without sacrificing taste, this kitchen quietly delivers, and for those nights that stretch on, late-night food is available without making it a big deal. What really stands out to me is the atmosphere, because nothing feels rushed or staged; instead, there’s a steady flow that invites conversation, shared plates, and that extra glass of wine you didn’t plan on ordering. Osteria Camelot doesn’t try to reinvent Ligurian dining, and that’s exactly the point, as it focuses on good service, approachable offerings, and a setting that feels comfortable enough to settle into while still feeling special every time you walk through the door. At the same time, the room carries an understated charm, mixing casual tables with a warm buzz that makes solo diners and groups feel equally at home, and the alcohol offerings, from simple aperitifs to well-chosen wines, slide easily into the experience without overwhelming the food.

Hidden from the busy streets of San Remo you can find a vertical sign and a door that leads to a balcony on the first floor. There you will find a calm and authentic atmosphere. The food was fresh, authentic and very refined. There is art in making delicious food without complicated ingredients or complex shapes. The staff was very patient with our lack of the Italian language.

This cozy and authentic Italian restaurant in Sanremo is a must-visit. We were pleasantly surprised to find English menus and a waiter who spoke fluent English. The charming outdoor seating area, adorned with beautiful flowers, added to the ambiance. The pasta bolognese had great flavors and was very tasty. The pasta vongole was good but lacked a bit of flavor, the clams however was really good. The bread with dried tomatoes was delicious. The cheesecake for dessert was also enjoyable. With two pasta dishes, dessert, and half a liter of red wine, the bill came to just €35. The friendly waiter provided excellent service, and we even had a visit from a friendly cat.

Anthony Bourdain thought us how to travel and eat with locals, how to get deep into regional cuisine and he would definitely visit The Camelot. He would talk about tradiiton and culinary maestry, he would prise excellence of dishes, fresh product and atmosphere. If you want to experience the most beautiful local food cooked by 82 Italian mama, make sure to get a table. The raised above street level terrace is tiny but how very Italian (you can sit inside as well) . Numero uno in Sanremo!!
